To support our employees within Operations, we have established a scholarship to provide financial assistance to Operations employees’ dependent children who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, including main campus and off-campus teaching sites, or any of The Texas A&M University System institutions, including those located at the RELLIS campus.
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement; school, employment, and community activities; and financial need. Please review the scholarship guidelines prior to beginning the online application.

Scholarship Guidelines
This scholarship will provide financial assistance to a Dependent Child of an Employee within Operations.
For purposes of this scholarship:
- “Dependent Child” means a natural, adopted or stepchild or a child under a legal guardianship; and
- “Employee within Operations” means a full-time employee budgeted at least 50% in a division/department within Operations for at least two years prior to the start date of the award period (beginning on July 1).
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement; school, employment, and community activities; and financial need.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must be:
- a Dependent Child of an Employee within the Operations (includes Emergency Management, Facilities & Energy Services, Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness, Technology Services, Transportation Services, University Police Department and administrative personnel in Operations);
- admitted into and enrolled in at least twelve (12) hours at Texas A&M University, including main campus and off-campus teaching sites (eg., McAllen, Dallas, Round Rock, Engineering Academies, etc.) or any other academic institution within The Texas A&M University System; and
- classified as an undergraduate student.
Application
Application packet must include the following:
- Completed Application form,
- Personal statement
- Activity Profile, including evidence of academic achievement and school, employment, and community activities
- Financial Profile
- Two Letters of Reference
- Current transcripts for each institution currently enrolled. First semester freshmen should attach their high school transcript. Unofficial transcripts are permitted. Incomplete application packets will not be considered.
Applicants must have a complete and current Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Application.
Additional Guidelines
- Scholarship funds can be used for educational expenses such as tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, and other related expenses.
- Texas A&M - Blinn Team and School of Nursing ASCEND program dual enrollment are permitted and count toward minimum required hours.
- The Scholarship Selection Advisory Committee is comprised of employees from Operations. Committee members may not be the parent or legal guardian of an applicant for the scholarship.
Awarding
- Scholarships will be for one academic year and will provide $2,000 per semester.
- To receive funds for the spring term, scholarship recipients must maintain a fall course grade point average of 2.0 or better and be enrolled in at least twelve (12) hours for the spring term.
- Scholarship recipients may re-apply in subsequent years, for a maximum total of four years, as long as he/she maintains satisfactory academic progress (2.5 overall G.P.A.) or above.
- If the scholarship recipient transfers to an institution of higher education outside The Texas A&M University System, the remainder of the scholarship is not transferable.
